What is Bible? How and why the Bible is written?
I would share with you what I have learnt about the Bible so far and support it with Bible verses.
the Bible is the word of God, His love letter to us so we could find a way home to Him through Jesus Christ. As Jeusus is the Truth, the Way and the Life!
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6
Bible cannot be only read and memorised by heart if we want to understand the real meaning and the purpose of the word of God: it needs to be read and studied carefully, verse by verse, so we could get the full knowledge and deeply understanding of the word so it might become a part of our existance, of who we are.
The Bible study could become a real adventure for you, as God would reveal and speak with you if you ask Him for explanation. God’s spirit, The Holly spirit, would lead you through the Bible and show you the verses so you could combine them and collect the pieces to have a full picture.
Let’s us start with the question WHY the Bible was written?
There are manny answers, here are the most important onces:
To know the LOVE OF CHRIST and the LOVE OF our FATHER
“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
Ephesians 3:19
The word fullness in Greek reveals to us much more: it means “a cargo ship full with cargo in such way that there’s not even space for a needle” Or a city full of house on an extent that there is no more room to build another house.
To have One mind in Christ: to love each other
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Romans 15:6
To glorify our only God, our Father
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Romans 15:6 -7
To give us HOPE
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4
To train you and to equip you to walk in the fullness of God.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timonthy: 3:16 -17
It’s connected to the ministry of reconciliation.
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:12
